Child seat, child restraints and liability

It is the user's responsibility to ensure that children in the carrier are safely and securely restrained. It is also the user's responsibility to ensure that the child seat is correctly mounted in the bracket that is mounted in the carrier.

Do not ride the cargo bike if children are not safely and securely strapped in.

Complaints about a product

The buyer is obliged to inspect the product upon delivery, and the buyer is obliged to immediately complain about any errors or defects, immediately within 2 days.

The Buyer may not later claim defects that could have been detected during the prescribed inspection. The same shall apply if the Buyer fails to complain in time about any defects found at a later date.

Complaints regarding faults or defects must be made in writing and immediately upon discovery. This complaint must contain an account of any errors and/or defects that B-Bikes is guilty of.

In the event of a complaint about defects or deficiencies, B-Bikes is entitled to inspect any defects or deficiencies before B-Bikes decides whether the defects still give B-Bikes an obligation to remedy the defects or deficiencies complained of. If the buyer fails to fulfil the rules laid down in this provision, he shall forfeit any right to compensation.

All products that are maintained according to our instructions are covered by a 2-year statutory warranty.

You should also be aware of the rules on how to maintain an e-bike battery. If the rules for the maintenance of our battery are not followed, your warranty will be cancelled.

If you begin to modify, construct or repair parts and/or the product yourself, your warranty on the part or product in question will lapse.

If, within the first 6 months, a defect occurs in the purchased product, there is a presumption that the defect was present at the time of delivery - hence the so-called "presumption rule". The starting point here is that the defect must be remedied at the dealer's/our expense. However, the presumption rule is waived if you as a consumer have not maintained and complied with the above rules.

  • 0-6 months: The presumption rule applies.
  • 6-24 months: the consumer must prove that the defect complained of was present at the time of delivery.

Complaints about a service

If a brake cable breaks, a suddenly defective brake, or dirt in a brake - which causes a bike to pull crookedly or cannot brake, B-Bikes cannot be held responsible for this, as we can in no way predict this.

During service or repairs, we cannot see if there is a brake cable that is frayed inside the outer cable, just as with hydraulic brakes - the system is not pressure tested.

We cannot predict a sudden hydraulic brake failure. However, we will usually be able to see a leak in the hoses. If a tyre, tube, cable, chain or anything else bursts after a service, B-Bikes cannot be held responsible for this, as we cannot predict it will happen.

The Buyer is obliged to carry out an inspection of the service provided upon delivery, and the Buyer is obliged to immediately complain about any defects or deficiencies. The buyer cannot later claim defects or faults that could have been detected during the prescribed inspection.

The same applies if the buyer later fails to make a timely complaint about defects or faults that have been discovered. Complaints regarding defects or deficiencies must be made in writing and immediately upon discovery. This complaint must contain an account of any defects or deficiencies that B-Bikes is guilty of.

Right of cancellation

If the buyer regrets the purchase of a product, we will exchange or refund the money within 14 days if the item is returned to us unused and in its original packaging. If the item is customised, it will not be exchanged.

You have 14 days to notify us that you regret your purchase and 14 days to return it to us.

ATTENTION. If the cargo bike was purchased from one of our dealers, the dealer's rules apply. Please contact your dealer.
